God Guarantees His Beloved Sleep

Every labouring man is guaranteed by God with a sweet night sleep whether he eat little or much, but of course as we all know that even a full stomach of the rich man does not allow him to sleep because he will be worried whether his riches will be robbed in the night by someone (Eccl 5:12). This shows that a poor man can easily be blessed physically because of his faith that God will take care of his tomorrow by giving strength for him to work and earn, than a rich man whose faith will be in his riches (James 2:5; 1 Tim 6:17). A person can either have money as his god or God the Creator as his God, who is the only one who is worthy of all our worship. Those who go after the pursuit of earthly riches and start to worship money by giving all their efforts to acquire it will soon get drowned in destruction and perdition (James 5:1-6; 1 Tim 6:9). As for a believer who loves money will stray from faith in their greediness and will pierce themselves with many sorrows (1 Tim 6:10). Either money or God can be truly worshipped, both cannot be served at the same time (Luke 16:13).

Beware of coveteousness in which the whole world is drowning, people who have a car want a better costly one, people who have house want a better one and want to sell the old, people who get a good salary want some more in a couple of months, people who have a good job want to jump to another job seeking for a pay hike...such covetous attitude shows that people's heart are filled with all the garbage of the world and its earthly temporal things except God who is immortally eternal, who is the very reason and purpose for all our existence. In our end times in which we are living, why is this happening? It is a prophetic things that is getting fulfilled, God has already predicted that men before the destruction of all the world will be mainly lovers of money, themselves and pleasure (1 Tim 3:2, 4). Contentment is somethings that can hardly be seen in our times. But we who know God through Jesus, should realize that the world is passing away and a new world is being establised under Jesus Christ with whom we will reign if we live by faith and humble service to God through Him (1 John 2:17; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev 20:4).

Contentment should be cultivated day by day along with godliness, the combination of which is a great gain for now and for eternity (1 Tim 6:6). Realize that you brought nothing in to the world and you can take nothing out of this world. Then the basic thing we all need is to have food and clothing, once we have this we should be content to enjoy life abundantly with God and people whom God has put around us in our day to day life. When we are content in God we will always have a smile on our face, a twinkle in our eyes and a leap in every step we take while we walk, then we need not worry about tomorrow because God has also promised to provide to all our food and clothing needs if we keep on seeking His kingdom peace, joy and righteousness (Matt 6:33; Rom 14:17). Life is more precious than our needs and so we should be content with the life that God has given to us as a gift. We should learn to be happy and enjoy life in God all the time. Even Solomon the wisest and one of the richest of all the kings who ever lived in this world said, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; For so He [the Lord] gives His beloved sleep." (Psa 127:2). When we have already seen that a labouring man itself is blessed by God with a sound sleep, then what so special about the Lord giving sleep to his beloved? The meaning is still deeper. So the translation goes like this, "Do not strive to live as the worldly people do by worrying about tomorrow (Matt 6:31, 34), when you are living just to eat and survive, it will make you sorrowful. So have faith in God's provision and loving care, for the Lord gives revelation of His greatness to all His beloved even in their sleep." (Psa 127:2). Praise the Lord! What more do you need than God showing Himself up in your sleep and making it happen when you are awake! Deja vu! Don't be surprised. Deja Vu is a English word adopted from the French word, 'déjà' which means 'already' and 'vu' which is the past tense of the verb 'voir' (to see). By the way because you are God's beloved, your life will be orchestrated by God in such a way that what will happen to you will be 'already seen' by you when you are sleeping. THOSE WHO TRUST GOD LIKE A BABY WILL SLEEP LIKE A BABY! KNOW THAT YOU ARE A GOD'S BELOVED AS YOU CONTINUE TO LIVE BY YOUR FAITH!

Blessings...

The Hand That Never Fail in Holding Us

A little girl and her father were crossing a narrow wooden bridge through the woods in order to meet a godly distant relative who had come to a nearby village after many years. The father was kind of scared for the safety of his child, so he asked his little daughter, 'Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river.'

The little girl said, 'No, Dad. You hold my hand.'

'What's the difference?' asked the puzzled father.

'There's a big difference,' replied the little girl.

'If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.'

What a great meaning that the little girl has conveyed to her father and to all of us too!

Do you realize that when we say to our Heavenly Father,"Hold my hand Lord and lead me on to the rock that is higher than I" (Psa 61:2), we are in the safest place in the entire universe.

The Great Psalmist Asaph must have said such a prayer to the Lord and as a result of saying it he experienced God's safehands which he described saying, "Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand." (Psa 73:23).

Do you want to experience such security and consciousness of God's hand holding you? You are one step away from invoking it through a prayer to our dear Lord and Father in Heaven.

Dear Father God in Heaven,

I love you and live for you. I haven chosen to serve you as your dear child to bring joy in to your heart through all my thoughts and actions. Many times I go through many dangers in my day to day life. I have come to know that I need you more than ever, in every moment of my life. So, I realize If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go. Thank you for hearing my prayer and I praise you for making me feel the conscious Presence of Your Hand holding my right hand and leading me to experience the rock of my salvation who is JESUS. In JESUS name. Amen and Amen!!!

Now you have invoked a supernatural Divine Hand of God to hold you every moment of your life. So be joyful in the Lord, always have faith and rest in the assurance that God's hand is holding your hand now.

Much Blessings....

God Loves You As Much As He Loves Jesus!

Love Lost For A Cause

This is a true story, dates back to the British rule in India.

The Pamban Bridge is situated in Tamil Nadu, India. At the entrance of the bridge you can see a picture of a weeping man holding some human body parts close to his chest.

This bridge was built during the British rule in India and it was constructed in such a way that the center portion of the bridge could be lifted with the help of huge wheels, so that ships could easily pass under the bridge. On the bridge, roads and rail tracks are laid for trains and other vehicles to pass...

A middle aged man was appointed to roll the wheels up and down when ships arrive. Once he saw a train slowly approaching, while he was pulling back the bridge after a ship quietly passed beneath. He had to pull back quickly or else there would be a fatal accident and thousands would have died.

At that time his 9 year old son came with lunch. When he saw his father struggling with the wheels, he kept the lunch box down and started helping him to roll the wheels to put the bridge back. Suddenly his son's finger got caught inside the wheel and he started crying out. At this time if the father tries to save his son, the bridge could not be put back on time. He had no other option but to ignore his son's cry. With all his strength he kept on rolling the wheels to down the bridge. As the wheels rolled on, his son slowly started slipping away into the huge machine.

Tears rolled down his father's cheeks, but he ignored his son's cry. If he tried to save him, the train will surely fall into the sea and thousands of people will die. Slowly the boy's whole body fell into the machine and his father could hear his bones breaking one by one, until with a loud sound, his head cracked.

The train with thousands of passengers slowly rolled on the rails, without knowing what had happened there.

Though this man performed his duty honestly he lost his only loving son. With extreme lamentation, he pulled out his son's body parts from the machine and held it close to his chest and cried bitterly.

British Government honored him greatly and in memory of this incident they placed the picture at the entrance of the bridge...

Truly there are selfless people still.

But what we learn from this story of love lost for a cause, we understand that love for God and people is as stronger as death (Sos 8:6). The Bible says, "Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly despised." (Sos 8:7). In other words, because of the selfless love of this father who sacrificed his son, many people who should have died, escaped it. God has such a true selfless love towards us who are sinners by nature. He knew that all of us humans would die and would go to hell if He does not choose to sacrifice His one and only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

So the love that God had for us all could never be quenched by any waters of sin or the flood of the enemy Satan and his evil demons who wanted all of us to die in sin and go to hell fire which was prepared for all of them (Isa 59:19; Matt 25:41). God allowed his Son who voluntarily came to to help him in redeeming the sinful humans from imminent death (John 10:17-18). In doing so, Jesus Christ who is the Son of God incarnated to become a ordinary human by being born in a manger, because he had no other place to be born (Luke 2:7). Then he lived a sinless life of great sacrifice and then at the zenith of his life, he gave up his life on behalf of all of us, got slaughtered and died as a lamb (Isa 53:7). Even though he had no sin or did no sin, he was falsely accused by sinful human beings because God allowed him to become a sin for us humans (2 Cor 5:21). God made a divine exchange and deposited the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ in our spiritual account in heaven. Jesus stayed silent without opening his mouth when he was falsely accused because our sins were put on him by God (Isa 53:6, 10). Then humans killed him brutally on the cross of calvary. Never forget that it is our human sin nature that killed Jesus, and as a fellow human born on this earth, we are part of his killing (Acts 2:36). But God gave a new meaning to his death by saying that Jesus' sinless body was broken was our physical healing and his blood was shed for the forgiveness of all our past, present and future sins, so that we are not only healed through believing him, but also can happily have relationship with God from now on and for eternity ahead.

God the Father cried and thundered in heaven so that even the earth shook and it went dark. He was not able to bear the suffering towards the death of Jesus who was his only begotten Son, to die in the hands of sinful humans (Luke 23:44-47). Truly God has loved us humans as much as He loved Jesus His only begotten Son, so He chose to save us all through the death of His only and only begotten Son (John 17:23; Rom 8:32). Think about it saints, it is all for us. Now all we can give back to God is to believe in His Son Jesus and live for HIS GLORY all the days of our life. So be daily thankful and grateful for his sacrifice that has saved us from sin and death for eternity ahead.

Blessings....

It's Worth Reading It

Take Time To Read...

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theatre became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

By the way, that student was none other than EINSTEIN who is often regarded as the "father of modern physics".

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Heb 11:6).

A Moving Story Of True Love Lost

Married Or Not, You Should Read This...

“When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I’ve got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn’t know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn’t seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn’t talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn’t love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn’t have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn’t want anything from me, but needed a month’s notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month’s time and she didn’t want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that every day for the month’s duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife’s divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn’t had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don’t tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn’t looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn’t tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it’s time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn’t noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office…. jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind…I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won’t divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn’t value the details of our lives, not because we didn’t love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed -dead. My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push through with the divorce.— At least, in the eyes of our son—- I’m a loving husband….

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves.

So find time to be your spouse’s friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

"Rejoice with the wife of your youth." (Prov 5:18, b).

Inspiring Testimony

The Great Disciples Of Jesus!

Dr. Graham Stuart Staines (1941 – 22 January 1999) was an Australian Christian missionary who along with his two sons Philip (aged 10) and Timothy (aged 6) were burnt to death by a gang while sleeping in his station wagon at Manoharpur village in Keonjhar district in Orissa, India on 22 January 1999. In 2003, the Hindu activist Dara Singh was convicted of leading the gang that murdered Staines and Singh is now serving life in prison. He had been working in Orissa among the tribal poor and especially with leprosy patients since 1965. Hindu groups allege that he forcefully converted or lured many Hindus into Christianity, however Staines' widow Gladys Stains denied these allegations. She continued to live in India caring for leprosy patients until 2004 before going back to Australia. In 2005 she was awarded the second highest civilian honor in India, Padma Sree, in recognition for her work with leprosy patients in Orissa.

God Hands Are Guiding You To Make You A Genius!

The Piano Master

Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NOADMITTANCE."

When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing." Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part.

Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was mesmerized.

That's the way it is with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't exactly graceful flowing music. But with the hand of the Master, our life's work truly can be beautiful.

Next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You can hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."

Feel His loving arms around you. Know that His strong hands are there helping you turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.

Remember, God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. And He'll always be there to love and guide you on to great things.
